Video: Delhi Will Not Get Relief From Traffic Jam This Year Trees Becoming An Obstacle – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

Major projects to provide relief from traffic jam in the capital do not seem to be completed this year. Their construction work is in the final stages, but there is confusion as to when the remaining work will be completed. Actually, trees are a hindrance in the last remaining construction work of the projects. These trees need to be cut or relocated. The rule is that instead of cutting one tree, 10 trees should be planted, but the Public Works Department (PWD) does not have enough land in which trees can be planted. In such a situation, permission to cut trees is not being received from the Forest Department. Last year, permission was sought from the department to cut trees. Recently, a meeting of PWD and Forest Department officials was held in which the obstacles being faced in completing the projects were discussed. Officials say the projects have already crossed the deadline due to various reasons. Concrete steps will soon be taken to remove the obstacles.
